Please read the following information carefully. By booking a session with JLockwood Therapy, you agree to the terms outlined below:

CONFIDENTIALITY

Everything you share in therapy is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and data protection laws.

Confidentiality may only be broken if:

• there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others
• there is a legal requirement to disclose information

Where possible, this would be discussed with you first.

SESSIONS

• Sessions last fifty minutes.
• Sessions take place online via secure video.
• In-person sessions in Hackney will be available soon.
• Regular weekly appointments are encouraged for continuity and progress.

FEES AND PAYMENT

• The fee is seventy pounds per session.
• A small number of concessionary spaces are available for those on lower incomes. Please enquire for availability.
• Payment is made by bank transfer before or immediately after the session.

CANCELLATIONS AND MISSED SESSIONS

• A forty-eight hour cancellation policy applies.
• Sessions cancelled with less than forty-eight hours notice will be charged at the full fee.
• Missed sessions without notice are also charged in full.
• If I need to cancel or reschedule, I will give as much notice as possible.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their ethical framework, including:

• professional boundaries
• respectful communication
• ongoing supervision
• commitment to safe and ethical practice

LIMITATIONS OF THERAPY

Therapy can support emotional growth, insight, and change, but progress varies for each person and cannot be guaranteed. Therapeutic work is a collaborative process that depends on your engagement and readiness to explore your experience.

JLockwood Therapy is not a crisis service.

PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
